Launch of H&M Security Gibraltar

H & M launch Gibraltar office with 'Glamorous' event.

Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, championed the “glamorous” launch of H&M Security Services in Gibraltar recently following the unveiling of a Marussia Formula 1 Team race car in John Mackintosh Square by former Miss World 2009, Kaiane Aldorino and Miss Gibraltar 2012 Jessica Baldachino.

As Official Security Providers of Marussia F1 Team, H&M Security Services marked the official opening of the Gibraltar Office in style by displaying one of Marussia’s show cars. Also present at the inaugural event was H&M

Ambassador Olympic Gold medallist Allan Wells MBE, Mayor Tony Lima and Ministers Gilbert Licudi and Samantha Sacramento.

All were attending to celebrate H&M Security’s arrival to Gibraltar. In a short welcome speech, Operations Director, Paul Spencer highlighted the aim of the company was to provide Gibraltar with the same high standard of services they offer in the UK and set it as a benchmark.

Founded in London during the millennium, H&M Security Services employ over 300 officers and offer a complete range of security services to a number of sectors including Network Rail, NHS, National Grid and Marussia F1 Team.

Managing Director of H&M Security, Ian Henderson, explained how the launch of the company in Gibraltar simultaneously struck a chord for him personally.

“H&M Security was looking to expand and we didn’t need to look any further than Gibraltar. I first came to Gibraltar as a young soldier and have been visiting for past 30 years. So it’s great to be back and bring the high standard of our service here. We feel we can make a difference”

The flamboyant unveiling of the race car was followed by a reception at the Mayor’s Parlour, City Hall, where the company and guests were welcomed by Mayor Tony Lima.
