H&M at Reading Rock Festival

H&M Security Services will be keeping Reading Festival goers secure.

Over this bank holiday weekend H & M will be teaming up with British Transport Police and Network Rail to secure miles of track around the festival.

The Project Compound that H&M Security will guard is located between the open ground that stages the Festival, the Reading railway station and the general project infrastructure. Previous festivals had resulted in revellers trespassing into the rail compound and onto the adjoining infrastructure in attempts to gain free access to the Festival. The festival is attended by over 80,000 people a day over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Due to H&M's repeat success since 2009 H&M Security will, this year, be looking after all the track and rear gates. Liaison has been ongoing with the British Transport Police and Thames Valley Police in order to identify and eradicate any vulnerable areas of the project that might be threatened by trespassers.

As a result of this pre-planning and our close working relationship with the British Transport Police, the chances of injuries or fatalities will be reduced and our clients Network Rail will have minimal disruption to their services.

It is a challenging project, however H&M Security pride ourselves on our partnership approach with the BTP and other authorities to prevent any incidents.

H&M will be providing Mobile patrols, foot patrols and an Operations Manager who will oversee the project from our 24 hour CCTV Control room.
