H&M Security Ltd achieve a record SIA ACS score and retains ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001

For the 8th year in a row following a detailed and comprehensive 5 day audit H&M Security Ltd has achieved its highest ever results from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS). The SIA Approved Contractor scheme gives us the opportunity to distinguish ourselves as amongst the best providers of private security services in the UK.

Approved Contractor status also delivers valuable operational advantages that help improve the utilisation of security staff. The ACS Standard encompasses all aspects of a business operation. It takes a holistic view of how well an organisation is managed, how effectively it services its customers and how well it treats its employees. Clients can be confident that we are committed to compulsory licensing of security staff and that every operative deployed on their premises will be working within the law. With a 5 point improvement on our 2014 score these results keep us firmly in the top of SIA ACS approved security companies.

As part of the audit process H&M also retained the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standards and OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Standards.  Having gone through the auditing process the Auditor was again, impressed in the developments of the Company.

We aim to ensure that our environmental policy is appropriate to the nature, scale and environmental impacts of our activities, the products we use and the services we provide. With a commitment to continually improve our environmental performance, we have to have a strong view on reducing the environmental impact and apply the best available practices and techniques. For many businesses the main environmental impacts are pollution and waste.The benefits of using ISO 14001: include minimising cost of waste management, reducing and saving from energy and material consumption, lowering distribution costs and improving company image among regulators, customers and public.  Our health and safety practices are closely monitored by our Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Manager Suzanne Douglas who has over 15 years of experience in health and safety practice. Suzanne provides health and safety training for all our managers who in many cases have additional external health and safety qualifications. Benefits of BS OHSAS 18001 include creating best possible working conditions, identifying, managing and controlling hazards, reducing workplace accidents and illnesses, engaging and motivating staff with better and safer working conditions.  

Our fully documented quality Management system ensures that customer requirements are met and that the customer has confidence in the ability of the organisation to deliver the desired product and services consistently meets their needs and expectations.
