H&M Scores 5 Stars From Achilles
Following the annual audit for RISQS services empowered by Achilles, a prerequisite for working in the Rail Industry, we are delighted to report that a Five Star pass was achieved.

RISQS, formerly known as Achilles Link-up, was developed to provide a service for the qualification of suppliers for all products and services that are procured by the industry. RISQS supports Network Rail, LUL/Transport for London, passenger, light rail and freight train operators, rolling stock organisations, main infrastructure contractors and other rail products and services providers in the management of supply chain risk. RISQS is an independent, third party qualification assessment of a supplier’s capability to supply products and services.

The benefits of being accredited include:
Improved understanding of management systems requirements for the rail industry
Improved efficiency through reduced need for repetitive supplier verification audits
Proven capability to meet regulatory and rail industry requirements
Improved standards through continued performance measurement

The RISQS accreditation also demonstrates that H&M meets the quality control levels of performance and training required to sponsor PTS (Personal Track Safety) card holders. The PTS card is a requirement for anyone working within the boundary of Network Rail tracks in the UK.

The initial assessment involved us demonstrating to the auditor that we are able to work to the strictest standards which are expected when we undertake railway projects. We achieved this successfully by proving that H&M has the right policies, procedures and processes in place. The RISQS accreditation also demonstrates that H&M meets the quality control levels of performance and training required to sponsor PTS (Personal Track Safety) card holders. The PTS card is a requirement for anyone working within the boundary of Network Rail tracks in the UK.

Our UK rail portfolio currently includes Costain, Siemens, Balfour Beatty, Volkerrail, EGIP and RSAR for Network Rail.
